Who is Drew Manning?
Four years ago, Drew Manning was a personal trainer who was in incredible shape. He helped many clients who wanted to improve themselves and who had many pounds to lose. He wanted to understand, on a deeper level, what his clients go through on their weight loss journey. He decided to purposely gain 60 pounds with the intention of losing it again, which he did in about 6 months.
When he set off on this experiment, he didn’t realize the emotional and mental impact gaining the weight and then losing it would have on him personally. He wrote a book, Fit2Fat2Fit, which became a New York Times bestseller, about his amazing experience and has become a weight loss and fitness expert. He has appeared on TV shows like Dr. Oz, Good Morning, America, The Tonight Show, The View, and many more. He is the host of A&E’s hit TV show: Fit to Fat to Fit. He is also an expert on the Keto diet and is the creator of the 60 Day Keto Jumpstart.
So what exactly is the Keto diet?
The Ketogenic (Keto) diet is a low-carb, high-fat diet that has helped many people successfully lose weight. With the Keto diet, you drastically cut down on carbs, especially processed and replace those calories with fat, putting your body into a metabolic state called ketosis. Ketosis causes your body to burn fat for energy. Doing so can reduce blood sugar and insulin levels. The great thing about the Keto diet is that it has been shown to help people lose more weight than they would on just a low fat diet. And, they can do it without feeling deprived or hungry because of the high fat intake of the diet.
